What is a PAL Card?

The PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) is recognised in numerous countries and various lines of industry as proof of top-rank training for operators of mobile elevating work platforms.

It is issued by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) to operators who have successfully completed corresponding training and assessment by an IPAF-certified training centre.

The IPAF training programme for operators of mobile elevating work platforms has been developed by leading industry experts. It is certified by the German TÜV according to ISO 18878.

Each year, more than 100,000 PAL Cards are issued by a worldwide network of over 600 IPAF-certified training centres.

Verifying the PAL Card

Construction managers and safety officers can use the online verification tool to check whether a PAL Card is genuine. To use the verification tool, enter the licence number as shown on the card, e.g. «OP/1234567»
